Week #20 – July 6 – Aug 1, 2020 Kriya for Physical & Mental Vitality and Increasing Intuition

Overview

WEEK 20 – Kriyas for Physical & Mental Vitality – Meditation for Increasing Intuition

Two shorter Kriyas – approximately 70 minutes. The first day I practiced this Kriya I felt unsettled after the practice. This is rare for me so I am paying attention to this awareness. This particular Kriya begins with a good aerobic standing work out, your heart rate will increase and you will sweat with the standing postures. Then we move to a core workout and throughout we are concentrating on the third eye. the sixth chakra, the seat of our intuition, one of the reason we use the phrase, “our sixth sense.”

CHANTS in this Kriya include:

Adi Mantra – I bow to the Creative Wisdom. I bow to the Divine Teacher within. This mantra is used to access the divine flow and self knowledge within each of us. We chant it three times. Once for ourselves, once for the people in your class and once for the greater world.

Closing song of all Kundalini Yoga classes worldwide.
May the long time sun
Shine upon you
All love surround you
And the pure light within you
Guide your way on

PRANAYAMA – BREATHING in this Kriya includes:

All Kundalini breath work is through the nose unless otherwise instructed.

ROCKY’S TAKEAWAY

Total Balance Kriya
This is a good kriya to practice on a Saturday morning when you want a work out. There are just a few poses in each of the two short Kriyas and you will have plenty opportunity to stretch out the shoulders. You may well be sore the next day and also have ample opportunity to work your core. I really like the closing meditation for increased intuition with the four-stroke inhale through a O shaped mouth and one long exhale through the nose. I imagine with each inhale I am breathing directly into my pituitary gland.

Sat Nam.
