Kundalini Yoga in San Francisco offers a balanced mix of asana (poses), pranayama (breathwork), mantra (words), meditation (inward focus) with time to observe and inquire. We teach from established kriyas/sequences that are safe and focused.

We’ll meet you where your mind, body, and spirit are today.

With Kundalini Yoga…

Some sequences may work the spine, with an opportunity to observe mental and emotional states and focus on specific body parts.

Some kriyas are more aerobic, some are quieter.

Some sequences are standing only – some sequences are seated only.

Some offer more breath work/pranayama and some kriyas focus on balance and held postures.

In-Person Kundalini Yoga Classes in SF

I have been practicing Hatha yoga, Vinyasa flow for over thirty years and found Kundalini Yoga at Yoga Tree/Potrero Hill / San Francisco with teacher Seva Simran Singh in 2016.

I was impressed how the practice integrated music, mantra, asana, pranayama and meditation in a way that was very “inner-directed.” My first Kundalini Yoga teacher training was with Seva Simran and Gurmukh and Gurushabd in Berkeley, CA. January – July 2019. I now teach Kundalini Yoga in San Francisco exclusively.

While the COVID pandemic closed many yoga studios and the practice of Kundalini Yoga has fewer outlets now, there’s great news! I’m currently teaching an in-person Kundalini Yoga Class at the corner of Fillmore and Jackson in San Francisco.

Please join me at Calvary Presbyterian – Monday nights, 6-7 pm in Calvin Hall. The class is a donation based offering. DIRECTIONS to Calvary Presbyterian

Important Note: There may be the occasional Monday when there is no class. Please double-check the Calpres Schedule of Events make sure class is in session.

It is a marvelous and welcoming space. I co-teach at Calvary Presbyterian with accomplished Kundalini yoga teacher, Laura Paradis. Alison Faison, Calvary Presbyterian Director Children and Family ministries also teaches occasionally. We strive to cover every Monday except when the church is closed on Holidays and look forward to seeing you there!
